Merzig, the "capital of the Viezstraße", the leisure paradise of Losheim am See and the ceramic community of Mettlach offer numerous attractive sights as you cycle through the valleys and forests. And after the cycling pleasure, the breweries reward your efforts with fresh beer and a hearty regional snack.

The pleasure tour starts at the town hall in Merzig. From here, the route continues through the town park towards the old town centre. The route continues along the Sefersbach towards Brotdorf and Bachem. After Bachem, the tour winds its way through a beautiful stretch of forest towards Losheim am See. Passing through the town centre, the route heads towards the reservoir to the Hochwälder Brauhaus, the first enjoyable stopover with a view of the lake.

From Losheim am See, you cycle along the Saarland cycle path through a varied forest landscape down to the ceramic community of Mettlach. Here you can take a break to visit the ceramic experience worlds and the Villeroy & Boch factory outlet. The Church of the Holy Sepulchre of St Lutwinus and the Old Abbey with its old tower and park are also worth a visit. The Mettlach Abbey Brewery invites you to stop for a bite to eat with regional specialities. Excursion boats are available for round trips on the banks of the Saar.

The 3-brewery circuit now follows the Saar upstream and leads through the famous and impressive Saar Loop. Further culinary highlights of the Saarschleifenland await here with the Saarschleifenlodge wine bar and the gourmet station at the Welles ferry. The route continues along the Saar through Dreisbach to the last brewery on the tour. At the marina in Merzig, the Saarfürst brewery awaits to round off the tour.
