The Fischerberghaus above Saarfels, also known as the balcony of the Saarland with a magnificent view of the Saar valley, celebrated its reopening on 1 March 2024.
The new tenants, the Schmitz family, welcome their guests with a new concept. In addition to drinks and delicious food for hikers, the focus is on game dishes (depending on seasonal availability), which are freshly prepared in the kitchen. On weekdays you can choose from a small menu. The Fischerberghaus is an Ebbes von Hei! partner and emphasises regional products. The game, for example, comes from the neighbouring hunting ground. The house offers a lounge for approx. 50 people, a beer garden, barbecue hut and covered veranda.
The Fischerberghaus is the ideal starting and finishing point for hikes in the Wolferskopf nature reserve and on the surrounding certified dream loops such as Bietzerberger or Beckinger SaarBlicke.
