Since its foundation as Café Collage in 1985, our company KAFFEERÖSTEREI PAULI MICHELS has grown and is now a speciality coffee manufacturer with an extensive programme covering all aspects of the world of coffee. Quality is our most important goal. That is why we place the highest demands on purity and flavour right from the start, from the selection of green coffees to in-house roasting and processing.
We roast around 40 varieties several times a week exclusively in a product- and environmentally friendly gentle process on traditional drum roasters: delicate single roasts of fine green coffee rarities and individual blends for upmarket restaurants and quality-conscious coffee lovers. We purchase the selected green coffee varieties from 30 countries around the world after rigorous testing.
Our roasting plant was awarded the BIO certificate back in 2005. Coffees from controlled organic cultivation have a special place in our range: around 70% of the raw materials used in production are organic coffees, and the majority of our coffee specialities are certified organic.
For our decaffeinated coffee and espresso blends, we only use selected green coffees that are gently decaffeinated before roasting using the steam-based CO2 method or the Swiss Water System, i.e. guaranteed without any chemical additives. This means we can also offer you high-quality decaffeinated coffees and espressos in organic quality.
We complement our exclusive in-house coffee range with the finest tea specialities from ALTHAUS / organic PURE TEA, as well as a selected range of exquisite chocolate/coffee confectionery.
For the right preparation, we offer a selection of coffee and espresso machines from various brand manufacturers: family and semi-professional machines for the home or office as well as professional machines for the catering trade.
We create customised coffee shop concepts for our catering customers and arrange contacts with service partners and suppliers: from advice and arranging tailor-made furnishings and suitable preparation equipment to product presentations of our wide range of freshly roasted coffee specialities, fine teas and accompanying products.
In our in-house coffee seminars, we train you as an interested coffee lover or as an employee of our catering customers, starting with the professional operation of the machines through the art of coffee preparation to successful selling.
