Built in the 13th century, St. Peter‘s Parish Church is the largest preserved Romanesque ecclesiastical building in Saarland.
Beschreibung
Inside the basilica, which is designed with a nave, two aisles and transept, visitors can admire a 14th-century forked cross hanging above the main altar. Also seen on the altar and worthy of praise is the floral decoration, which displays cut flowers usually grown in the adjoining Parish Garden. Designed in keeping with a historical model, the gardens include attractive beds of perennials and winding paths, fruit trees and a lawn for Parish festivities.
