And she explains her suggestion as follows: "The ASV-Mechern facility in Gerlfanger Straße is located on the hill above Mechern with a view of the Bietzerberg and the Kreuzberg chapel." The idyllic pond with its benches invites you to linger at any time of year. "If you're looking for peace and quiet, this is the place to be - apart from the lapping of the water and the chirping of the birds, there's the silence of nature. I love this spot especially in spring with its delicate greenery and in autumn with the colourful dress of the trees on the banks of the pond," enthuses Hedi Groß. She continues: "I come here when I'm looking for peace and relaxation, but also when the anglers are having a party or when help is needed." The site is also located on the Saargau hiking trail.
