On the traces of the city and regional history
Beschreibung

Of dreaming knights and kissed frogs: The Actionbound app "Once upon a time... the legendary fairytale tour around Dagstuhl Castle"
Even though the town museum unfortunately has to remain closed at the moment due to renovations, we are working behind the scenes on creative ideas to continue to bring our town history to life for you in the meantime.
A first step is the new digital exploration tour with which young and old fans of wondrous stories can listen to the legends surrounding Dagstuhl Castle on site, watch various fairytale scenes by the Lockweiler and NuNa Nunkirchen theater clubs and try to solve exciting puzzles and tasks along the way.
Simply download the Actionbound app for free from the App Store or Google Play, then scan the QR code directly here (under Documents to download) or search for the tour in the app - and you can rediscover the Dagstuhl castle ruins to your heart's content.
The tour was developed by the cultural office and the Wadern town museum and is already a first foretaste of our current EU-funded LEADER project to make the various sights in the town area easier to experience.
The completely redesigned museum presents the eventful history of the town of Wadern and the Hochwald region in the Oettinger Schlösschen. The baroque building was built in 1759 by Count Joseph Anton von Oettingen-Sötern as his first residence.
Appointments outside regular opening hours by arrangement.
Every 1st Sunday of the month: Museum Sunday with free admission.
