Way of St James approach Merzig - Perl-Borg

The Way of St James access route from Merzig to Perl-Borg is part of this Europe-wide network. The route is also signposted with the pilgrim's shell, as an official access route with a blue shell on a yellow background. The route runs partly along existing premium hiking trails and is therefore of a high quality. Numerous churches and chapels along the way invite you to take a spiritual break, from St Peter's at the starting point in Merzig to St James' Chapel in Kesslingen. There are also many places to stop for refreshments in Merzig, Mettlach or Orscholz. And if the route is too long for you in one go, you can also stop for an overnight stay along the way.there are many reasons for making a pilgrimage on the Way of St James. The ferry Welles operates from:April to October: daily from 10:00 - 17:45Monday closed

If Monday is a public holiday, the closing day is Tuesday.

November and March: Ferry service on weekends and public holidays from 10:00 - 16:45 December to February closed
