Dream loop Bardenbacher Fels
Leicht
Traumschleifchen are premium walking trails, circular routes with short distances and little elevation gain.
The Bardenbacher Fels is a nature reserve that has been designated since 1969 and includes the most striking rock section and the floodplains of the Prims river. Extremely species-rich vegetation has developed in the gorges and steep slopes that are difficult to access. The main aim is to protect one of the last remaining fragments of floodplain forest in Saarland - the rest of the hardwood floodplain.

Wegbeschreibung
This easy but eventful family hiking tour starts at the Prims bridge at the Bardenbach sports ground. Firstly, the route runs along the meandering Prims, with the imposing walls of the Bardenbach cliffs to the left and the floodplains and meadows to the right. After approx. 1.5 km, take the steeply ascending turn-off to the left, which leads hikers up to the "Schlafkopf" hill. From there, you walk back to the starting point on the back of the Bardenbacher Fels on a shady nature trail, with the forest opening up again and again to reveal views of the surrounding landscape.

Attention:
Entering the forest and walking on the hiking trails is always at your own risk!
Depending on the season and the weather, you may need to be more sure-footed on certain sections of the trail. Therefore, wear clothing appropriate to the season and the weather and hiking boots with an appropriate tread. Be careful of breaking branches and damaged trees. In stronger winds and in winter due to snow and ice, the dangers of falling trees and crown pieces increase.
