Perl mountain bike centre
The mountain bike facility is located in Perl directly behind the German-Luxembourg Schengen Lyceum. The facility consists of a pump track and balance bike track, a jumpline with drops and jumps of varying degrees of difficulty and a few small trial obstacles. The pump track area can also be used by small children on balance bikes.
Asphalt pump track
In order to appeal to different skill levels, our asphalt pump track consists of two different laps. Experienced riders can put their skills to the test on the larger circuit with larger berms, high waves, jumps and transfer options - bends up to approx. 1.0 m high and waves between 30 and 90 cm high. Less experienced riders can make their first attempts on the smaller wheel track. This circuit is characterised by flatter berms and less high waves. The balance bike track can also be used by small children on balance bikes to train their balance and coordination.
The route is completely covered with an asphalt surface. The average width of the track is 2.0 metres. This means that skateboards, city scooters, inline skates and even wheelchairs can use the pump track as well as bicycles of all kinds. The total area of the pump track is approx. 920m².
Riding technique practice area with jumpline
The riding technique area is divided into different sections to offer a variety of practice options. Starting from a starting hill, there are two parallel jump sections (each consisting of 1 drop and 3 jumps) with different levels of difficulty and rollable obstacles of various widths and heights to choose from. In addition, a riding technique trail with berms, hanging bends and jumpable waves can be used to refine your riding technique. The riding technique area is complemented by balance and trial elements. The starting hill can be reached via a separate driveway without oncoming traffic.
