The historic town of Rodemack, 20 kilometres from the German border, is also known as the "little Carcassonne of Lorraine".
Surrounded by a 700 metre long, almost completely preserved town wall with a town gate and fortified towers, the characteristic cobbled streets and beautiful architectural heritage preserve the ambience of a medieval market town. Time seems to have stood still in Rodemack. Guided tours in German and French can be booked through the tourist office.
