The Sinzer Bannwanderweg takes its name from the Sinzer "Bann", the area around the village of Sinz. The trail leads over the heights around the beautiful district of the municipality of Perl and offers you sweeping views of the border triangle and the Moselle valley.

At the edge of the route is a collapsed doline, which was created by weathering processes in the ground. Cosy benches and groups of tables invite you to take a break. Enjoy and experience the charm of the Upper Moselle and the borderless border triangle.

This scenic hiking trail is located in the westernmost part of the Saar-Hunsrück Nature Park on the border between Saarland and Rhineland-Palatinate. Shortly before crossing the B 406, it is worth taking a short detour to the south-west. There, a vantage point at the nearby car park offers a breathtaking panoramic view of the many orchards still preserved in the village of Tettingen-Butzdorf. The village is known far beyond the borders of the Greater Region for the production of Viez - a fermented apple juice that was drunk by the Romans.

Wegbeschreibung

The starting and finishing point of this hike is a narrow forest path on the B406 south of the village of Sinz. From there, the trail initially leads through fields until it reaches a mixed deciduous forest after around 600 metres. In the valley of the Nennigerbach stream, the path runs alongside the stream for a few hundred metres until it crosses the main road and continues through the forest. From now on, the route alternates between fields, woods and forest edges. After approx. 8.5 kilometres, the hiking trail crosses the district road 117, before crossing the B 406 again after approx. 11 kilometres.

z. Between Lisbon and Porto, for example, the infrastructure is not yet so well developed. The stages from one accommodation to the next can therefore be long and adventurous.
