The great Saarland tour

The "Saarlandschwein" was created for this purpose by the Überherrn cycling club. A route that can be travelled throughout on a racing bike. The route covers just over 300 km along the border of the Saarland, covering 3,600 metres in altitude. The creators of the Saarlandschwein, which takes its name from the resulting outline of the tracked route (including the trunk that feels like Luxembourg), have carved the most interesting routes from the road network. Always with an eye on what makes the racing cyclist's heart beat faster: roads with little traffic, bends, a variety of landscapes, moderate and sometimes steep climbs. There are also refreshment stops along the route.

If you make it, you're in luck. The best Saarland circumnavigators can then immortalise themselves in the hall of fame on the website. If you want to ride the whole thing in the company of like-minded people, you have the opportunity to do so once a year at the big Saarland Pig Ride-Out.
